Island of the Sleeping Lion in San Carlos, Sonora Mexico
“This little island called by the natives ‘El León Dormido’ (Sleeping Lion). I was in a hurry to be in the right place for sunset. I had studied where the sun would set and made my run among choyas, mezquites, cactus, scorpions and maybe some rattlesnakes to get to be at this beach and make this shot I had envisioned for weeks. I had tried a couple of times before, but the weather just wouldn’t let me approach the beach.” – comment of the Photographer
